It was a great day. I think the thing that confused me the most is that for a gathering that had comic in the title, I only found 3 comic book stands. I think this gathering was more focused on video games. I know that saints row 3, was a big deal there but the only thing that really interested me was the Darkness 2. That really looks like a great game and I even got a free t-shirt out of them.

I think the best thing cosplay I saw the Green Power Ranger hanging the White power Ranger. That nearly made my brain melt.

The music is probably even more epic than in some of the earlier ones. There’s not even a trace of ‘poodle rock’, and it’s all about the sweeping, epic classical themes.
Some of the music is also appropriately styled to the locations too – the North Africa and Dubai levels use influences from various appropriate instruments and musical cues, which is a bit Blackhawk Down when you’re helicopter-flying about, while there’s some Russian language used in various stages as well.
The main theme is also scored with some influences from the music from Ace Combat 6′s Invasion/Liberation of Gracemaria themes, which was a good tune.

The ending theme is a Rap song though…

As for the plots – well, it would be nice if they made it a European Country, or even somewhere else on the globe altogether. Russia would be nice, actually, maybe defending your own country against internal strife, or being invaded by the Chinese or someone. I once read a military thriller where a resurgent Imperial Japan invaded Russia in order to hijack Siberian oil and gas fields. The Americans involved were a single squadron, who were operating covertly, alongside Russian forces. It sounds dumb in some ways, but at least it was different!

A bit more imagination in the countries and situations leading to the conflicts you’re flying in would be welcome – and it’d lead to a lot more variety in things you could do, and fly, and see as well.

How's the music in this one? Ace Combat's always been about dogfighting to epic tunes, does it live up to the others?

I like how they're competing with the HAWX series to actually revamp the genre, but do you think they'll ever come up with a plot that doesn't involve Russian terrorists/separatists/evil people taking over and starting a war with America? Ace Combat was doing it when it wasn't even set on Earth! (How many versions of the US and Russia were there?)

Unforgettable sound in a word, Unforgettable. It seems like cop shows are all the rage in america at the moment and all the new ones look like crap. With the sucess of a show like castle, lots of woman detective tv is being made and it is all just cookie cutter crap. Going back to the old days of tv before lost changed eveything. Not a tend I like.

Charlies Angels was always bad, like much A-team people remember it being better than it was because it was iconic.

The one pilot that looking interesting to me was Awake with Jason Isaacs, but then anything he does rocks.

I have since watched the second episode of unforgettable, and to be honest my fear of how her “Power” works has kind of come true. in the second episode she notices that a tarp has moved slightly and finds a missing kid! also for a detective it takes her ages to work out what’s going on, her “power” scenes take forever! Don’t think I will carry on with watching this.

I haven’t seen Human Target so I can’t comment on its similarity. From reading the summary on IMDB it seems different enough, I’ll watch the pilot and let you know what I thought.

It doesn’t help that the three girls, even thou they had their own journey to work for Charlie have turned into the same person. if it wasn’t for the different actors they could all be the same person.

Just watched the new This is Jinzy guest star Catherine Tate new song about dirty clothes

I have watched a few more pilots so I’ll post a new one next week.

Great posts, my thoughts.

Unforgettable This sounds a lot like the TV show monk an retired police office that returns to the police. Sounds interesting but I will not be watching it.

Person of interest Sounds to much like human target.

Charlie’s Angels This show simply will never work as it is not of it's time. The orignal was all about girl power and that was the 70s. What does girl power mean in 2011?

Thanks man, I’m sorry it took so long to put up.

GameStop are one of those businesses that manages to survive despite being a bunch of incompetent twerps who seem to think they’re not in the customer service industry.

It’s almost sad, every time they pull something like this they bring Amazon and steam one step closer to destroying them completely.

I hope they make more of these games too, thankfully it looks like it sold like robot cupcakes so a sequel’s probably already in the works. If they sort out the boss fights and let me use the Melee abilities more often (You have to munch on a chocolate bar or hide in a corner for five minutes between each takedown.) they’ll be on to another winner.

I must admit that I was really looking forward to this review, I knew you were going to love it.

The only thing that I have really heard about this game is that the whole GameStop removing the OnLive code from the box thing.

It sounds like a really interesting game, not unlike my beloved Half life 2. Why don't they make more games like this?

I think most guys who get out of uni/turn 21 have the same thought, how do I get a girl? At uni or when your young, it is easy to get a girl, bottle of blue wkd and she is yours. But when get older, this whole dating thing starts to be an issue.

I did exactly the same thing, I bought the game and read it, thinking, it this real, is this how it all works? I did the whole game thing for a year and do you know what, IT DOES F*ING WORK. Women see through the game crap in about 5 minutes and think you are a creep. I mean magic tricks, really are the girls 7 and easily impressed? Don't bother mate, just be real!

I am 23 and I am in love with my girlfriend

The first two episodes really shouldn’t be a basis of the review. They don’t really follow the formula that the rest of the series follows.

After Nightmare Moon is ‘dispatched’ the series turns away from magic and fairy tales into a more slice of life affair.

If you want a good measure on how each episode of the sereis goes check out episode 4.
