Jeff is fantastic too... You gotta love that man-mountain.

Seriously though, are they gonna make a Hank Pym movie?! No one will watch that!!

Fair enough. I wrote this at about one in the morning after the premiere and I still feel I was a bit harsh to it.

But I still feel rather cheated that the dialogue wasn't as good as the first because Disney had it re-cut. What really gets me is they were still happy to have that cut footage in the trailers anyway. The funniest lines in the movie aren't even there.

I like that they're making the movies with us geeks in mind, I just don't like them shoe-horning references in for their own sake. And when there was only about three minutes of Nick fury I started to feel that. That should become less of a problem with the seven movies coming out expanding on each... whether they will actually be any good, we'll have to wait and see.

Mickey Rourke was good, although I couldn't help but feel regret that Jeff Bridges couldn't have come back for more.

hmmm... I'm having a disagreement fest today...
1st He-Man and now this...

I went to see it last night with my husband who is the most dedicated Iron Man fan you'd ever want to meet...

Hmmm ok...
so...
I loved the Black Widow. I wanted more of her, sure and I don't like Scarlet Johannson... I never have. But i'm glad she's in there. I thought her fight scene was kick ass.

I think the thing that I missed from the first movie was Tony and Pepper's banter. There was a bit but not nearly enough.

As far as it all being for the geeks? GOOD! We're the ones who buy all the comics, who know the characters inside and out and who want to see it. I don't care if the movies aren't a commercial success. I want to see Nick-motherfucking-Fury. Damn straight.
I also want to see them get it right.
And they do. For the most part, the Iron Man movies are pretty loyal to the characters and don't make me sit there and think, Tony would never do that.

I love Micky Rourke. The man can ACT. He was a good choice and he brings subtly and realism to his character, even though he barely has anything to say.

You're right, it's not the first film. But the second album is always a bitch. It's good. I'll see it again. I'll buy the DVD.
